Eagles at Raiders Pick

The Philadelphia Eagles travel west to take on the lowly Oakland Raiders as the two teams will square off on Sunday at 4:05PM ET.

Bet NFL Week 6

With a healthy Donovan McNabb back under center, the Eagles were able to defeat the Buccaneers 33-14 in Week 5. McNabb threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns, while receiver Jeremy Maclin hauled in six passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Philadelphia covered as 15.5-point favorites.

The Raiders were absolutely hammered at Giants Stadium last Sunday, 44-7. Oakland failed to cover the spread as a 15-point underdog as JaMarcus Russell threw for just 110 yards. Michael Bush was the lone highlight, scoring a touchdown.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Eagles 14-point favorites over the Raiders on Sunday. The over/under total for this game has been set at 40.5. points.

In terms of betting, there’s a lot to like about the Raiders in this contest. They’re massive home underdogs and usually teams that were embarrassed the week before come out and play better the following Sunday.

But these are the Raiders and you have to throw a lot of your conventional betting knowledge out the window. Oakland is terrible and it all starts with Russell, who simply cannot move the chains and looks every bit like a colossal bust.

The Raiders might keep things close in the beginning, but chances are that Philly will roll – especially with McNabb healthy again. Philadelphia is the far superior team and while Oakland can be a tough place to play, Russell should give the Eagles ample opportunities to score points by turning the ball over or stalling drives with his horrendous passing.

Lay the points in this one as the Eagles rout and cover the over by themselves.

Our NFL Week 6 Free Pick for this matchup is: PHILADELPHIA EAGLES -14 and OVER 40.5.
