Bills at Jets Pick

AFC East rivals clash at Giants Stadium this Sunday when the New York Jets host the Buffalo Bills at 4:15PM ET.

Bet NFL Future Odds

The Bills lost an ugly 6-3 decision the lowly Browns last week at home as Trent Edwards threw for only 152 yards and an interception. Marshawn Lynch rushed for 69 yards on 17 carries as Buffalo failed to cover as 5.5-point favorites.

The Jets also lost and failed to cover in Week 5, as the Dolphins beat New York 31-27 on Monday night football. Mark Sanchez went 12-of-24 for 172 yards and a touchdown in the loss as the Jets failed to cover as 1-point road favorites.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Jets 10-point home favorites over the Bills on Sunday. The over/under total for this game has been set at 37.5 points.

If the Bills couldn’t reach the end zone against the Browns, what makes anyone think they’re going to do so against Rex Ryan’s defense? Buffalo is a complete disaster right now on offense and has no idea how to get Terrell Owens and Josh Reed the ball. Alex Van Pelt looks completely outmatched as an offensive coordinator.

The Jets have something to prove after losing two straight and even though they’re coming off a short week, we think they’ll turn it up against the Bills this Sunday. Look for Sanchez to continue to make plays with Braylon Edwards and for Ryan to completely befuddle Edwards and the Bills’ offense.

The Jets win this one in a laugher, although the point total is a little low for our liking so we recommend the over.

Our NFL Week 6 Free Pick for this matchup is: NEW YORK JETS -10 and OVER 37.5.
