Panthers vs. Saints Odds
Following their home loss last week to the Falcons, the New Orleans Saints find themselves double-digit favorites this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Let’s take a look at the point spread from this Week 4 matchup.
Game Preview:
The Saints suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Falcons last Sunday in overtime when kicker Garrett Hartley missed a 29-yard chip shot that could have won the game for New Orleans earlier in OT. Now the Saints are banged up, but their opponent this week is starting a rookie quarterback and has struggled in every game so far this year.
The Panthers are 0-3 and have little to no hope in turning things around. Jimmy Clausen was brutal in his debut and while DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart remain quality backs, without the threat of a passing game Carolina’s offense will continue to suffer. Their defense is too young and inexperienced to carry this team every week.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Saints a 13-point favorite over the Panthers in Week 4. Below is a preview of Sunday’s game.
Line Movement & Updated Odds:
The Saints opened as 13.5 favorites but clearly bettors are seeing the value in the Panthers because now the line is 13. The over/under opened at 45 but is now down to 44.
