After a disappointing start to the season with a 33-27 OT loss to the Chiefs, the Chargers bounced back nicely last week with a 38-14 win over the Jaguars. Unfortunately, the Chargers lost another key player to a torn ACL for the second straight week. After Keenan Allen was hurt in Week 1, Danny Woodhead was hurt last week. The Chargers are giving up 422 yards per game right now on defense, including 346 yards per game passing. The offense is putting up 384 yards per game, including 152.5 rushing yards per contest. That will take a blow with Woodhead out, but Melvin Gordon has shown an improved start from 2015 thus far.
After a 39-35 loss to the Lions at home, the Colts followed that up with a 34-20 loss at Denver last week. Like San Diego, the Colts are struggling on defense big time. They are giving up 428 yards per game thus far, including over 300 yards per game through the air. Part of that is due to a number of injuries to the secondary, which aren’t healing up this week. Offensively, Indy is averaging 373.5 yards per game right now. Andrew Luck has thrown for 582 yards and five touchdowns to lead the team, but the run games hasn’t really gotten off to much of a start. Frank Gore is the leading rusher with 103 yards on 27 carries thru two games.

Both of these teams know how to give up yards, especially through the air. That is the strength of both the Chargers and Colts on their offense, so that should lead to plenty of big plays and points. The total is set pretty high, but the Colts easily shattered that number in the Week-1 shootout with the Lions. This could be very similar in terms of scoring.
