Bengals’ 2015 NFL Season Odds
CINCINNATI, OH (The Spread) – After winning double digit games in each of the past three years, the Bengals’ win total for 2015 has been set fairly low by oddsmakers.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bengals’ over/under for wins has been set at 8.5 for the 2015 NFL season. They’re also 33/1 long shots to win the 2016 Super Bowl and 16/1 to win the AFC Conference championship this upcoming season.
This offseason the Bengals signed linebacker A.J. Hawk, tight end Rob Housler and brought back Michael Johnson after he spent the past couple of years last year in Tampa. They also selected offensive linemen with back-to-back picks in April’s NFL draft, nabbing Cedric Ogbuehi from Texas A&M and Jake Fisher from Oregon.
The Bengals have been a great regular season team only to fall short in the playoffs thanks in large part to the poor play of quarterback Andy Dalton. But from a betting standpoint, 8.5 is a low bar for a team that has won no less than nine games each season for the past four years. The over is worth consideration.
Editor’s Note: A commenter pointed out that we included tight end Rob Housler among the Bengals’ offseason moves. Housler signed with the Browns, however. We apologize for the error. Also, we referenced that Michael Johnson played multiple years in Tampa when he only spent one. Again, our apologies for these inaccuracies.
