DeMarcus Ware Sack Odds in 2014
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The Denver Broncos made a big upgrade on defense in free agency, adding DeMarcus Ware to the roster. Here is a look at the odds for how many sacks he will have this season.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the over/under for total number of sacks that Ware will have in 2014 has been set at 12.5. Both the over and the under carrying -115 odds, which means you would win $100.00 for every $115.00 that you wagered on either the over or the under.
On March 12, the Broncos inked Ware to a three-year, $30 million deal. He was joined that day by cornerback Aqib Talib, who also signed with Denver, giving the league’s best offense two very talented defense stars. Ware was apparently not happy with the offer the Dallas Cowboys made him and decided to take the money and the possibility of a Super Bowl in Denver. Ware will find himself in the mix with Von Miller, Sylvester Williams and Derek Wolfe to bolster Denver’s pass rush.
Ware had just six sacks last season for Dallas, but missed three games. It was his lowest sack total of his career, with the next fewest being eight in 2005. He has recorded double-digit sacks all other seasons and had at least 13 four different seasons. Though he had a step back in 2014, Ware should be hungry and have plenty of opportunities to get to the quarterback this season.
