MVP Odds: According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, Clay Matthews is 18/1 to win the Super Bowl 45 MVP Trophy, which are the best odds you’ll find on a Green Bay defender for that award. A.J. Hawk (35/1), B.J. Raji (35/1), Cullen Jenkins (60/1), Tramon Williams (35/1), Charles Woodson (18/1) and Sam Shields (35/1) also have odds listed for the award.
Hawk has an over/under of 6.5 for total tackles and assists for Super Bowl 45, while Matthews has an o/u of 4.5 for the same category. Desmond Bishop has an o/u of 7 for total tackles and assists, while Woodson has an o/u of 5.5 in that category.
For sacks, Matthews has an o/u of 0.5, but if you take the over you’ll have to lay –200 on the money line. That’s not surprising when you consider that Matthews recorded two sacks against the Steelers last year and the public expects him to have a huge game against a suspect Pittsburgh offensive line.
Nose tackle B.J. Raji also has an over/under of 0.5 for total sacks, although the over is +120 on the money line. Raji will likely be going against backup center Doug Legursky because Maurkice Pouncey has a high ankle sprain, so the nose tackle may have a big game.
If you think Williams will record an interception, you could get +250 on the money line. If you don’t think he will intercept a pass, a wager on “No” is –325. Woodson has similar odds, although a wager on “Yes” would net you +300 on the money line, while a wager on “No” is –400. Williams had one interception against the Eagles in the Wildcard Round and two against the Falcons in the Divisional Round, so it stands to reason that he could have another pick in the Super Bowl.
