Books starting to move AFC line to 3.5
After holding strong at a field goal, some online and Las Vegas sports books are adjusting the line for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.
Following the Broncos’ victory over the Steelers in the final game of the Divisional round, sports books both online and in Vegas opened the Patriots between -3 and -4.5 for Sunday’s AFC title game. Many books then dropped the number to a field goal, which is where the spread remained throughout the course of the week.
But now several books are moving the line up to New England -3.5 with two days before Sunday’s 3:05PM ET kickoff. Oddsmakers from online sports book RealBet.eu currently list the Patriots as 3.5-point favorites, as are Vegas sports books at the MGM Mirage and Wynn LV.
The Westgate Superbook and online sports book BetDSI still list New England at -3, but adjusted the juice from -110 or -115 up to -120. A shift to Patriots -3.5 might soon be coming at those sports books, too.
As for the over/under, the number has stayed consistent throughout the week. The total opened at 44.5 and that’s where the number sits at the majority of online and Vegas books.
