Titans vs. Hawks Pick
The Seattle Seahawks host the Tennessee Titans at 4:15PM ET on Sunday in each team’s season finales.
The Titans lost to the Chargers 42-17 as a 3.5-point favorite in Week 16, as the combined score went over the posted total of 47 points. Vince Young was intercepted twice and lost a fumble in the loss.
The Seahawks lost to the Packers 48-10 as a 13.5-point underdog in Week 16, while the combined score went over the posted total of 43.5 points. Matt Hasselbeck threw for 198 yards with a touchdown and four interceptions for Seattle, while Justin Forsett rushed for 7- yards on 14 carries.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Titans 6-point favorites over the Seahawks in Week 17. The over/under total for this game has been set at 45 points.
Our free pick prediction for this game is the Seahawks +6. Oddsmakers are sucking bettors into taking the Titans because they’re the better team and because Seattle has struggled mightily over the past two weeks. But there is a ton of value taking the home underdog, especially one that plays as well at home as the Seahawks do.
Seattle is a different team at home than it is on the road and considering Tennessee has to travel cross-country for a meaningless game doesn’t bode well for a Titans cover. We wouldn’t be surprised if the Seahawks win outright.
We also like the under 45. The Seahawks haven’t scored more than 10 points in each of the last three weeks and while we think they’ll keep the game close, the point total has been set way too high for this game.
Our NFL Week 17 Free Pick for this matchup is: SEATTLE SEAHAWKS +6 and UNDER 45.
