SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) -The Big East got a big shot in the arm on Monday with the addition of TCU, and Syracuse director of athletics Dr. Daryl Gross calls it a win-win for the league.
Gross says he thinks the Big East is in a better place today than it was six months ago and said the league would continue to be proactive as conferences expand and contract.
Gross declined to mull future Big East expansion. He did say, however, with the Big East getting ready to negotiate future TV contracts, the addition of TCU puts the league in position to get a lucrative deal.
TCU (12-0) is third in the BCS standings, and may get a chance to play for the national championship.
