BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -Indiana athletic director Fred Glass has called a news conference to discuss the future of football coach Bill Lynch.
Multiple media reports have indicated Lynch will be fired after his third straight losing season.
Lynch took over as Indiana’s interim coach after Terry Hoeppner died in June 2007 and led Indiana to its first bowl game since 1993.
Since then, the Hoosiers have had three straight losing seasons.
Lynch has one year left on his current contract and there has been rampant speculation about Lynch’s future with the team since Indiana’s embarrassing 83-20 loss at Wisconsin. On Saturday, Lynch’s Hoosiers beat Purdue 34-31 in overtime – their first win in West Lafayette since 1996.
