BOSTON (AP) - Boston College has another chance to play spoiler.
A week after trying - but failing - to ruin Notre Dame's national championship hopes, the Eagles will try to keep Virginia Tech out of a bowl game. The Hokies are 4-6 and they need to win out to qualify for a bowl.
BC (2-8) is already guaranteed to miss the postseason for the second consecutive year. The Eagles have lost two in a row since beating Maryland for their only Atlantic Coast Conference win of the year.
Virginia Tech (2-4 ACC) has lost five of its last six games, including a 28-22 loss to No. 8 Florida State last week.
