LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -Kentucky running back Rafael Little is questionable for Saturday’s game at No. 8 Georgia after injuring his back in last week’s win over Vanderbilt.
“We hope it will settle down and the soreness and pain will go away so he can participate,” coach Rich Brooks said Wednesday.
Little missed three games with a thigh injury before returning to run for 70 yards against the Commodores but carried just once in the second half after hurting his back. He did not practice on Wednesday.
Brooks said the team’s medical staff is unsure of the extent of the injury. Little will undergo treatment in hopes of being able to play.
“They’re putting stem on him; they’re giving him massage; they’re doing heat, cold, everything,” Brooks said. “It could be bruise, or it could be a pull. We’re not totally sure. Whatever it is, it’s painful.”
