ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez says he expects quarterback Denard Robinson to play against Purdue this Saturday.
Robinson didn’t play after the third quarter of Saturday’s 67-67 triple-overtime win against Illinois. Rodriguez says Robinson passed a series of tests after he had symptoms of a concussion with headaches and dizziness. He should be ready for the Boilermakers.
He has run for 1,349 yards and is 146 away from breaking the major college record for yards rushing by a QB. Air Force’s Beau Morgan had 1,494 yards rushing in 1996.
Robinson has been knocked out of three games this season. He had injured his left knee against Bowling Green and hurt his right shoulder against Iowa.
