BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -LSU starting right tackle Alex Hurst injured his right leg in the first quarter of the No. 12 Tigers’ home game against fifth-ranked Alabama on Saturday.
Hurst, a sophomore, was blocking on a first down run when he went down and was unable to get up on his own. He was helped off the field by two trainers and did not put any pressure on the injured leg.
LSU officials did not have any immediate word on the extent of Hurst’s injury.
Hurt’s injury came one series after LSU starting safety Brandon Taylor left the game, also with a right leg injury.
