SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -Before Utah can worry about playing for first place in the Mountain West Conference, the 17th-ranked Utes have to avoid a stumble against the team alone in last.
The Utes host winless New Mexico on Saturday, one week before Utah’s showdown at unbeaten TCU.
Utah coach Kyle Whittingham says the Utes (7-1, 4-0) have done a good job of not overlooking anybody and he expects that to be the case Saturday against the Lobos (0-8, 0-4).
New Mexico is trying to avoid its first winless season since going 0-11 in 1987.
