CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) – Fourth-string quarterback Stephen Morris will work with Miami’s starting offense on Tuesday, while starter Jacory Harris continues recovering from a concussion.
Harris will not practice Tuesday with the Hurricanes and is still awaiting medical clearance to resume on-field activities. He was injured in last Saturday’s 24-19 loss to Virginia, though was in the film room with teammates Tuesday morning.
Morris, meanwhile, is going into the week as the presumed starter.
Morris took over at halftime of the Virginia game, throwing for two touchdowns and running for another in the final 10 1/2 minutes as the Hurricanes tried rallying from a 24-0 deficit. Miami (5-3, 3-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) hosts Maryland (6-2, 3-1) on Saturday.
