LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -Texas defensive end Brian Orakpo injured his left knee trying to get to Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell and was not expected to return Saturday night's game.
Orakpo had to be helped off the field after Harrell completed a 16-yard pass to Michael Crabtree midway through the third quarter with the No. 6 Red Raiders leading No. 1 Texas 22-13.
Longhorns spokesman John Bianco said the 6-4, 260-pounder would not return to the game.
The senior leads the Big 12 in sacks (eight) and tackles for loss (11) this season.
