 MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) -Cade Thompson threw for 317 yards and three touchdowns to lead UT Martin to a 55-20 Ohio Valley Conference victory over Southeast Missouri on Saturday.
Thompson, a South Carolina transfer who was subbing for injured Dexter Anoka, was making just his second career start.
He completed 23-of-32 passes in all, including scoring tosses of 13 yards to Jamaal Akbar, 46 yards to Jessie Burton and 15 yards to Jay Robinson.
Don Chapman recorded his 22nd career 100-yard rushing game and fifth this season for the Skyhawks (2-7, 2-4), with 116 yards on 20 carries.
Marcus Dawson had a pair of short scoring runs and Anthony Johnson returned a blocked punt for a touchdown for UTM, which led 27-0 in the first half.
The Skyhawk defense limited the OVC's top-ranked rushing offense to just 60 yards on 24 carries.
Houston Lillard threw two touchdown passes for 252 yards for SEMO (2-6, 0-5), which dropped its fifth straight game.
