LORETTO, Pa. (AP) -Dale Fink tied a school record by throwing four touchdown passes, two of them to Steve Tedesco, to lead Sacred Heart to a 41-24 victory over Saint Francis, Pa. on Saturday.
Fink was 20-for-31 for 214 yards and Evin Jones rushed for 127 yards for Sacred Heart (6-0, 2-0 NEC). Joe Schroeder also kicked two field goals for the Pioneers.
George Little was 18-of-28 for 204 yards and one touchdown and rushed for another for Saint Francis (0-6, 0-3 NEC).
Fink’s first scoring pass to Garry Coles and Jones’ TD helped Sacred Heart to a 17-10 halftime lead, despite Little’s 1-yard touchdown plunge and a 29-yard field goal from Zak Campbell.
In the second half, however, Fink connected with Tedesco on 4- and 25-yard scoring passes and also threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Tom Stripe. Little threw a 12-yard scoring pass to Ryan Zarnich from Calvin Williams scored on a 2-yard run with 11 seconds left on the clock.
