NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford skipped an early warmup session but then threw about 30 passes to different areas of the field as he prepared to make his comeback from a sprained shoulder.
Bradford was late joining his team as Oklahoma’s backup quarterbacks threw warmup tosses on Owen Field prior to Saturday’s game against Baylor (3-1). He also jogged to the locker room while the rest of the Sooners (2-2) were stretching.
Bradford then returned to the field and threw a variety of patterns, finishing with a 40-yard completion to Adron Tennell down the left sideline.
Bradford has missed Oklahoma’s last three games with a sprained AC joint in his right, throwing shoulder. Among the concerns is whether his shoulder has enough stamina for a full game.
