College football fans are feeling little effect from schools’ heightened security measures after federal officials issued warnings this week saying terrorists would like to attack stadiums.
Fans at several games said Saturday they noticed more police but didn’t experience any delays.
No. 23 Michigan banned bags and purses, other than those needed for medical reasons with supporting documentation, from its game against Indiana. In Cincinnati, there were more plastic security barriers at the gates to Nippert Stadium, where the 14th-ranked Bearcats played Fresno State.
Georgia Tech had extra security at every gate at Bobby Dodd Stadium for its game against No. 22 North Carolina.
