FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) – Arkansas has much to improve on this week as it readies to open Southeastern Conference play at Alabama.
The No. 14 Razorbacks (3-0) struggled in the second half of a 38-28 win over Troy on Saturday night, with four drives resulting in three-and-outs and another ending when quarterback Tyler Wilson threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, the No. 2 Crimson Tide (3-0) made easy work of another Sun Belt Conference member, North Texas, in a 41-0 win. Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy combined to rush for 328 yards.
Arkansas nearly defeated Alabama last season, leading 20-7 in the second half before the Crimson Tide rallied behind the running game for a 24-20 win. The Razorbacks rushed for just 64 yards in that loss and hope to improve on the ground game.
