FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) – Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson has shown a firm grasp of the Razorbacks’ offense through two games this season.
The junior has completed 72 percent of his passes and helped No. 14 Arkansas to a Southeastern Conference-best 368.5 yards passing per game. It’s also led to back-to-back games with at least 50 points for the first time since 1928 at Arkansas, which has outscored its opponents 103-10 to open the season.
What Wilson hasn’t shown so far is the propensity to look for the deep pass as much as his predecessor, Ryan Mallett.
The Razorbacks (2-0) look to continue their hot play when the host Troy (0-1) on Saturday.
