COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Derek White ran for 194 yards and scored five touchdowns Thursday night to help Tennessee Tech route Concordia-Selma 55-7.
Tech (2-1) struggled early with a total of 13 yards in the first quarter, but ended the game with 388 yards of total offense, while Concordia (1-3) was held to 203 yards.
White set a school record for rushing touchdowns with two in the second quarter and three in the third – the longest on a 46-yard run.
Turnovers were plentiful in the contest as Concordia lost three fumbles and had three passes intercepted, while Tech lost three fumbles and had one pass intercepted.
The Golden Eagles return to Ohio Valley Conference play next week as they host Murray State.
