FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -TCU accomplished only part of its long-desired goal by finally getting into a BCS game last year.
The goal was to get to a BCS game – and win it.
Quarterback Andy Dalton says losing in the Fiesta Bowl after a 12-0 regular season is motivation for the Horned Frogs to get back to one of the major bowl games for another chance to win.
With its highest preseason ranking, sixth-ranked TCU just might get the chance for a BCS do-over.
Dalton, the fourth-year starter, is surrounded by most of the skill players that helped set school records with 498 points and 5,937 total yards last season.
And there are seven starters, with 24 of 30 lettermen, back on a defense that was No. 1 in the nation a year ago.
