FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) – Knile Davis has been down the injury road before.
The Arkansas running back hopes to use his past experiences for his benefit while recovering from his latest setback.
Davis, speaking publicly for the first time since fracturing his left ankle during a practice Aug. 11, says he has already returned to the weight room following surgery and is determined to return to top form.
The junior, who led Southeastern Conference running backs with 1,322 yards rushing last season, was injured when a defensive lineman fell on his ankle. It’s the third time he’s broken an ankle, dating to high school, though the other two were the right one.
Davis also has broken his collar bone before, so he’s well aware of and is mentally prepared for the recovery process.
