STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -Senior receiver Brett Brackett’s top accomplishment at Penn State hasn’t come on the football field.
After spending the last three years raising record amounts of money while leading a player-organized charity dedicated to fighting kidney cancer, the converted quarterback has one season left to leave a mark while in uniform.
Brackett wonders if a move back to an H-back/slot-type role after spending his junior year on the outside might lead to big things this fall on an offense breaking in a new starting quarterback.
He has caught just 17 passes in his career, though he’s developed a reputation as a solid blocker.
The “Lift for Life” charity event was a success last week after players raised a record $98,000 to benefit the Kidney Cancer Association.
