University spokeswoman Lisa Powers said Monday that Erickson received the grand jury subpoena last week and plans to ``fully cooperate and answer all questions truthfully.'' The subpoena was first reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Powers says Erickson's lawyers are discussing aspects of the subpoena with the state attorney general's office, including when he'll testify.
It's not clear precisely what the grand jury is investigating. A spokesman for the attorney general's office declined to comment.
Penn State said in February it had received a subpoena from the U.S. attorney's office in Harrisburg that asked for records of payments made by trustees to the school, among other things.
