CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -Clemson running back James Davis had shoulder surgery Thursday and will miss the rest of spring practice.
Coach Tommy Bowden said the arthroscopic surgery went fine and Davis should be ready for offseason conditioning and fall practice.
Davis, second on Clemson’s career list with 3,130 yards rushing, was injured during a scrimmage March 13. He has been an all-Atlantic Coast Conference running back the past two years and led the Tigers in rushing all three years he has been with the team.
