AUSTIN, Texas (AP) – Texas coach Mack Brown knows Longhorns fans are excited to see what his new staff brings to a program trying to rebound from a 5-7 season. He is too.
But he’s also realistic.
The Longhorns hold their annual spring scrimmage on Sunday, giving Texas fans and anyone else curious enough to turn on ESPN, a chance to see the first steps in Brown’s rebuilding project.
Brown says Longhorns fans should expect to see a tough, aggressive team. But he also cautions that his team is still a work in progress with five new assistant coaches and a lot of question marks.
Texas missed a bowl game last season for the first time in 13 years.
