AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -Texas coach Mack Brown will be one of five current and former coaches who will visit U.S. troops in Afghanistan and the Middle East later this year.
Brown, Air Force's Troy Calhoun, UCLA's Rick Neuheisel, Mississippi's Houston Nutt and former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville will visit military bases in Afghanistan, Quatar and the United Arab Emerirates as part of the Second Annual Coaches Tour presented by Under Armour.
``There are so many young people fighting for our freedom, I thought it was a great opportunity to represent our University and football program in thanking them,'' Brown said Wednesday.
The coaches' tour runs from May 28 to June 4. They will visit with the troops and coach flag football teams.
