LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – Nebraska coach Bo Pelini says assistant coach Marvin Sanders has resigned.
Pelini said in a statement Wednesday that Sanders resigned for “personal and family reasons.” Sanders coached the secondary the past three seasons.
Pelini’s announcement came a day after Indiana coach Kevin Wilson said at his signing-day news conference that his cornerbacks coach, Corey Raymond, was heading to Nebraska to coach all four secondary spots.
Raymond declined to confirm his hiring when reached Thursday. Pelini said he was “working toward finding a replacement for coach Sanders.”
