ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -A person familiar with a Michigan Board of Regents session on Wednesday says the NCAA investigation of the football program was discussed.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because the school is not disclosing any details of what it calls an informal meeting. The person did not discuss any details with the AP.
The school and the NCAA are looking into allegations that players practiced or spent time on football-related activities beyond NCAA limits.
The Detroit Free Press, citing a person it did not name, said the regents expect the university to announce the results of its probe in a couple weeks.
Coach Rich Rodriguez says he did not know details of the regents’ meeting.
