STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Mike Bloomgren has been promoted to offensive coordinator at Stanford after overseeing the offensive line and running game the past two seasons.
Cardinal coach David Shaw also announced two other staff changes Tuesday.
Mike Sanford will take over as quarterbacks and wide receivers coach while continuing his duties as recruiting coordinator, and former quarterback Tavita Pritchard will shift from defensive assistant to running backs coach.
Bloomgren replaces Pep Hamilton, who left to become the offensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts earlier this month. Bloomgren also will continue to coach the offensive line.
Stanford begins spring practice Feb. 25.
