SEATTLE (AP) -Aaron Roderick returned to Utah on Monday a little more than a week after he left to be the receivers coach at Washington.
In a surprise announcement Monday, coach Steve Sarkisian said Roderick will not be joining the Huskies’ coaching staff due to family-related reasons. Roderick accepted a job coaching Washington receivers on Jan. 17.
A Utah statement says Roderick cited personal reasons for his decision to return to Utah, where he will coach the Utes receivers, a position he held since 2005.
The school said Roderick’s wife, Laurel, will resume her duties as Utah’s assistant soccer coach.
