ULM vs. LSU Week 11 Odds
No. 5 LSU is coming off a big win over Alabama last week, now the Tigers need to avoid an emotional letdown when they host Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday.
LSU is 8-1 on the season and 5-0 at home this year while Louisiana-Monroe is 4-5 on the season and 1-4 on the road. LSU is just 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 games following a cover and 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 home games.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made LSU a 32.5-point favorite against the Warhawks on Saturday. The over/under total has been set at 46.
The opening spread had LSU favored by 30.5 points and that spread has continued to grow to get to 32.5. The over/under total opened at 45.5. and has added another ½ point to get to 46.
LSU used timely play calling and good defense to beat Alabama 24-21 last week. That win was the fifth victory for the Tigers that came by single digits. The LSU offense is averaging just 330.7 yards per game but the defense is holding opponents to 282.9 yards per game. The Tigers have been led this season by Stevan Ridley, who has rushed for 811 yards and seven touchdowns. Quarterback Jordan Jefferson has thrown for just 764 yards and three touchdowns with eight interceptions.
The Warhawks have alternated wins and losses over the last three weeks, losing 42-35 to FIU last weekend. Louisana-Monroe is averaging just under 350 yards per game on offense this season while giving up 398 yards per game on defense. Kolton Browning has thrown for 2,080 yards and 12 touchdowns this season while Luther Ambrose has caught 52 passes for 562 yards and four scores.
LSU cornerback Brandon Taylor is doubtful for Saturday’s game with a foot injury while cornerback Morris Claiborne is questionable with a concussion. ULM safety Khairi Usher is probable for Saturday’s game with a lower body injury.
