If No. 5 Alabama hopes to have a shot to defend its national title this season, the Tide will need to beat No. 12 LSU on the road on Saturday.

The LSU offense has been inconsistent at times and averages just 317.9 yards per game while the defense has been the strong points, holding teams to 277.6 yards per game. The offense has been led by Stevan Ridley, who has rushed for 723 yards and six scores while the LSU quarterbacks have combined for just over 1,000 yards but have just four touchdowns to nine interceptions.
