The Yellowjackets had a surprising 28-23 win over the rolling Hokies last week thanks to 309 yards rushing as a team. Josh Nesbitt was just 1-of-7 passing for 51 yards, but rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns. The win moved Georgia Tech to 6-1 on the season and 4-2 against the spread. Nesbitt has thrown for 894 yards and four touchdowns on the year while rushing for 625 yards and nine scores. Jonathan Dwyer has 593 yards on the ground with five scores while Anthony Allen has added 367 yards and three touchdowns. Despite the low passing total, Demaryius Thomas has caught 27 passes for 671 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, the Yellowjackets have not been strong, giving up 26 points and 377 yards per-game.

Virginia got off to a slow start in 2009, losing its first three games, but since, the Cavaliers have won three-straight, including an upset win over North Carolina. Virginia is 3-3 on the season and 4-1 against the spread. Virginia has found success despite having one of the least effective offenses in the ACC. Jameel Sewell has thrown for 1,093 yards and five touchdowns, but has five interceptions, while the Cavaliers rushing attack is led by Mikell Simpson, who has 247 yards and five touchdowns. Virginia ranks second to last in the conference in rushing yards with 664. On defense, Virginia is allowing just 18.7 points and 293 yards per-game. The Cavaliers passing defense is third in the ACC, having given up just 974 yards through the air.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Georgia Tech 5.5-point road favorites over Virginia on Saturday afternoon. The over/under total for this game has been established at 48.
