Hawaii impresses at Nevada
In one of the most shocking results from two weeks ago, Hawaii went to Nevada and earned a 54-3 victory as a 2-point underdog. The Warriors are 4-1 on the season, 1-0 in the Mountain West, 3-2 against the spread and 3-2 with the under.
Hawaii, like usual, is one of the top offensive teams in the country. The Warriors are putting up 37 points and 481.4 yards per game. Their passing attack ranks fourth nationally with 356.8 yards per game. Defensively, Hawaii is giving up 27.4 points and 392.2 yards per contest. Cole McDonald has thrown for 1,629 yards and 17 touchdowns, but also has nine interceptions. Cedric Byrd II is the leading receiver with 40 catches for 498 yards and nine touchdowns while Miles Reed is the leading rusher with 238 yards and three scores.
Boise State remains unbeaten
The Broncos are coming into Saturday’s game at a perfect 5-0 thanks to a 38-13 win at UNLV last weekend. Boise State is 2-0 in the Mountain West, 3-1-1 against the spread and 3-2 with the under.
Boise State has been respectable on offense and defense. The defense is giving up just 16 points and 305.6 yards per game this year. Offensively, Boise State is putting up 32.6 points and 482.2 yards per contest. Hank Bachmeier has thrown for 1,489 yards and eight touchdowns to lead the offense while Khalil Shakir has 26 receptions for 357 yards and two touchdowns. George Holani and Robert Mahone have combined for 603 rushing yards and four scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Hawaii
The Warriors are 6-2 with the under in their last eight game sin October and 5-2 with the under in their last seven road games.
Boise State
Boise State has hit the under in seven straight against a winning team and in six straight conference games.
Prediction:
These two have hit split the over/under in their last six meetings, but have hit the under in three straight meetings in Boise. Hawaii’s offense hasn’t fared very well against the Broncos, scoring just 16 points or less in the last six encounters. The big question here is how many points Boise will put up. The Broncos aren’t a team that tends to run up the score and I think they will remain in their 30-poitn range. I would expect Hawaii to have some struggles on the road despite what they did against Nevada. The Boise State defense is similar to Washington and the Huskies held the Warriors to just 20 points.
College Football Week 7 Prediction: Hawaii/Boise State Under 60.5
