Missouri 2011 Season Odds
(The Spread) – The Missouri Tigers return a lot of starters for the 2011 College Football Season, but they must replace the most important position, the quarterback.
The Tigers were 10-3 last season but lose quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who threw for 3,186 yards and 16 touchdowns while also rushing for 232 yards and five scores last season. Missouri has been known for having strong quarterback play over the years with Brad Smith and Chase Daniel also having success for the Tigers.
Looking to take over for Gabbert this season is sophomore James Franklin, who saw limited action in 2010. Franklin threw for 106 yards with one touchdown and one interception while rushing for 116 yards and two scores.
According to oddsmakers from Bodog, Missouri has 60/1 odds to win the 2012 BCS National Championship under the leadership of Franklin. The Tiger also have odds of 12/1 to win the Big 12 Conference this season. The over/under odds for wins for Missouri has been set at 7.5.

While Missouri is grooming a new quarterback, 11th-year coach Gary Pinkel does have a stout defense. The Tigers held opponents to 16.1 points per game and also totaled 38 sacks as a defense. Leading the way was defensive end, Brad Madison, who had 7.5 sacks in 2010.
For the oddsmakers, Missouri has fit right in line. Last season the Tigers were 7-6 against the point spread odds and over the last 10 seasons, Missouri is 61-58-1 against the spread. Missouri was 5-3 against the spread at home and 3-1 in games on grass. Despite averaging nearly 30 points per game on offense, Missouri hit the under in 8 of 13 games last season, including four of five road games.
