Nick Wilson Heisman Odds
TUCSON, AZ (TheSpread) – One of the top running backs in college football this season could be Nick Wilson from Arizona. Is Wilson going to get his name in the Heisman Trophy mix?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Wilson is listed with 40/1 odds to win the 2015 Heisman Trophy. Trevone Boykin of TCU is the current favorite with 6/1 odds while Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott has 7/1 odds. Braxton Miller, Jeremy Johnson and Nick Chubb each have 10/1 odds.
Just a sophomore, the 5-10, 199-pound running back broke onto the scene in 2014 where he had a very impressive season. Wilson rushed for 1,375 yards with 16 touchdowns while catching 12 passes for 90 yards and another score. Coming into his second season, you have to expect more good things to come from Wilson.
During the 2014 season, Wilson managed to compile a total of 7 100-yard rushing games, including a season-high 218 yards on 20 carries in a 42-10 win over Utah on the road. In Arizona’s four losses, Wilson was heled to 86 yards or less. He clearly was a big factor in Arizona’s success last year and will be a key part this season.
