Nicks Kids will give the money to Project Team Up, which is aiming to rebuild some 30 homes in Holt, a town a few miles from the University of Alabama that was hard hit by a tornado in April.
Saban says being around people who have lost family members and homes or businesses “really creates a lot of incentive to get out there and do something positive to help rebuild communities and rebuild homes.”
He spoke on the foundation of a house being rebuilt for Teddy and Rosie Rowe’s family in a neighborhood where only a small church was left intact.
Project Team Up is a coalition of local business and civic leaders.
