Cardale Jones staying at OSU
COLUMBUS, OH (TheSpread) – Cardale Jones’ stock may not get any higher than it is now, but the quarterback is taking a chance on himself and electing to return to Ohio State next season as opposed to going pro.
Jones held a press conference on Thursday afternoon to announce that he would be returning to the Buckeyes after playing in the final three games of the season and leading Ohio State past Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon to win the national championship.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Ohio State is the favorite to win the national championship again next season, as the Buckeyes are getting 5/1 odds. Other short odds to win are TCU (15/2) and Alabama (9/1).

Jones threw for 257 yards and three scores against Wisconsin while passing for 243 yards and a touchdown against Alabama. He then threw for 242 yards and a touchdown against Oregon on Monday night. He rushed for 90 yards in those three games as well. Jones will be part of a stacked Ohio State roster and there is no telling that he will be the starter as J.T. Barrett and Braxton Miller could also return.
