Urban Meyer not considering NFL
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Urban Meyer is coming off his third national championship, which he won on Monday, but the coach says he isn’t looking at a new challenge.
Meyer held a news conference on Tuesday following Ohio State’s 42-20 victory over Ohio State in the first-ever College Football Playoff National Championship Game. When questioned if Meyer would have an interest in heading to the NFL, Meyer replied with:
“Not right now. I’ve got a commitment to Ohio State and these players. I love what I’m doing. Not right now.”
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Ohio State is the clear favorite to repeat as national champions next season, as the Buckeyes are getting 5/1 odds to win again. TCU has the next shortest odds at 15/2 while Alabama sits at 9/1.

With Meyer returning and Ohio State returning most of its roster, the Buckeyes should be the favorites to win it all. The real question for Ohio State will be its quarterback situation, as it has a trio of studs in Braxton Miller, J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones. Which will return to the team and which ones will go pro or transfer?
