Missouri favored in Citrus Bowl
ORLANDO, FL (The Spread) – A pair of surprise teams in 2014 will meet in the 2015 Citrus Bowl, as No. 16 Missouri takes on No. 25 Minnesota at 1PM ET.

Missouri had another surprising year, making a run to a second-straight SEC Championship Game before falling to Alabama, 42-13, to go 10-3 on the year and 7-1 in the SEC. The Tigers were 8-5 against the spread on the season and went 4-1 against the spread in its last five games, while pushing or hitting the over in three of their last four.
Minnesota is coming off a 34-24 loss to Wisconsin in what was essentially a Big Ten West championship game. The Gophers lost three of their last five games to finish 8-4 on the year and 5-3 in the Big Ten. Minnesota was 8-4 against the spread for the season and the Gophers covered in their last four games and they have covered in five straight as an underdog.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Missouri is the slight favorite in this game, as the Tigers are getting odds of -4.5 points against the Gophers today. The over/under total has been set at 47.5 points (View Matchup). These two have no recent meetings.
Points could be hard to come by in this game, as both teams have relied on their defenses. Minnesota is giving up just 23.4 points and 362.7 yards per game while Missouri is holding opponents to 21.4 points and 344.2 yards per game. The biggest test in this game will be if Missouri can lockdown Minnesota running back David Cobb, who has rushed for 1,545 yards and 13 touchdowns. If Missouri can limit Cobb, it should be able to stop the Minnesota offense as a whole.
