NCAA FREE PICK: Take Florida. According to the latest college basketball trends, Eastern Michigan is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following an ATS loss. A tough task for Eastern Michigan, who takes on the No. 2 Wolverines, who have their highest ranking since the 1992-93 season and are off to their best start in 24 years. Eastern Michigan laid an absolute clunker on Saturday against Illinois-Chicago, losing 74-48 as they shot just 1 of 10 from three-point range and allowed the Flames to shoot 12 of 29 (41.4%) from beyond the arc.  Eastern Michigan is led by senior guard Derek Thompson, who averages a team-high 12.3 points. The Eagles did beat another Big 10 team in Purdue, 47-44, on Dec. 8. The Eagles are ranked 27th in scoring defense in the country, allowing 57.6 points per game. They are tied for 20th in blocked shots (5.6) per game and Da'Shonte Riley, a 7-foot junior center, is tied for 20th in the country with 2.7 blocks per game. Eastern Michigan holds its opponents to 37.9-percent field goal shooting, tied for 33rd in the country. They'll slow this game down and make it a half court game. Michigan has a more talented team but Eastern Michigan will bounce back from a poor game to cover this one.
