Big 12 Championship Odds


(The Spread) – The Big 12 Conference isn’t quite the power it used to be in college basketball. Here is a look at the odds to win this season’s conference title.

According to oddsmakers from, Kansas is the favorite to win the conference, as the Jayhawks have 1/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Texas (5/2) and Baylor (6/1).

Kansas is currently No. 9 in the AP rankings with a 7-1 record. The Jayhawks’ lone loss was to Michigan State. Kansas lacks any significant wins on the season. Kansas will face Ohio State in a few weeks before beginning Big 12 play. Kansas is scoring 75.3 points per game while allowing just 58.3 points per contest.

Texas is currently unranked thanks to a 5-4 start to the season. The Longhorns have lost to the likes of USC, Georgetown, UCLA and even Chaminade. Texas has games with North Carolina and Michigan State coming up prior to the start of conference play. The Longhorns are giving up 57.7 points per game and only scoring 62 points per contest.

Baylor is also unranked right now. The Bears are 5-3 on the season, having lost to Colorado, Charleston and Northwestern. The Bears did pick up a win over Kentucky and have a meeting with Gonzaga prior to conference play. Baylor is scoring 76.1 points per game while allowing just 66 points per game.
