Thursday's March Madness Odds


(TheSpread) – The 2012 NCAA Tournament will move the Sweet Sixteen down to the Elite Eight over the next two nights. Here is a look at the odds for Thursday’s four games.

The featured game on the night takes place in the West Region where No. 1 Michigan State faces off with No. 4 Louisville in Phoenix at 7:47PM ET (View Matchup). The Spartans are considered a 5-point favorite against the Cardinals while the over/under total has been set at 125.5 points. The Spartans are 29-7 on the season and 5-2 on a neutral floor while Louisville is 28-9 overall and 6-0 on a neutral court. Michigan State is 22-11 against the spread this season while Louisville is 20-13-1 ATS. MSU has won and covered in the previous two meetings.

The other featured game takes place in the East Region where No. 1 Syracuse faces off with No. 4 Wisconsin at 7:15PM ET (View Matchup) from Boston. Oddsmakers see Syracuse as the favorite in this game, as they are given a point spread of -3.5 against Wisconsin while the over/under total has been set at 120.5 points. Syracuse is 33-2 this season and 5-1 on a neutral floor while Wisconsin is 26-9 overall and 5-1 on a neutral floor. Wisconsin is 18-14 against the spread this season while Syracuse is 18-16 ATS. These two last met in 1999 with Syracuse winning and covered the spread.
