The second round of the 2011 NIT Tournament continues tonight with the only game on the schedule: No. 1 Colorado vs. No. 7 Kent State. The Buffaloes were overlooked for an at-large bid, while the Golden Flashes lost out on the MAC title and an automatic bid when they lost in overtime to Akron a week ago.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made Colorado a 9.5-point favorite over Kent State on Tuesday night. The over/under total for this contest opened at 154 points.
According to recent college basketball trends, the Golden Flashes are 4-0 against the spread in their last four road games and 4-0 in their last four games as an underdog. They’re also 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five games as a road underdog.
The Buffaloes, meanwhile, are 5-2 ATS in their last seven non-conference games but just 2-5 ATS in their last seven contests following an ATS win. They’re 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine home games versus a team with a winning road record.
